A Short Note to my Adventist Friends

I know very well that you believe that the work of the Holy Spirit in the believers life is to reveal the nature of Jesus Christ in their hearts. 2 Corinthians 3: 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord NKJV

So just a few short questions on the Investigative Judgement. If we agree that Holy Spirit is in the hearts of all who have been baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. Why does He need to stand in the inner sanctuary investigating our works to see if we will make it to heaven? Would God dwell in the heart of the un-sanctifed?

Are we not cleansed in the shed blood of the Lamb of God. 1 John 1: 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Therefore as we are justified by His redeeming work on the Cross are those same sins not washed away by his cleansing blood so that we are cleansed, sanctified and then hidden in Christ. Colossians 3: 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Not as a consequence of the Investigative Judgement.

Finally God knows us intimately through His relationship with his sons and daughters in Jesus Christ. He knows already who are His and where they all are at this very moment because He dwells in us in the person of the Holy Spirit of God. Romans 8: 16 “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God...”
